adından da belli olduğu gibi blues ve rock icra eden, icra etmeyi aşıp 60'ların sonu 70'lerin ortalarına kadar etkinliğini sürdürmüş başarılı bir ingiliz grubudur.

1967'de çıkardıkları bir günü anlatan days of futura passed adlı albümleriyle ünlenen grubun en meşhur hiti nights in white satin de bu albümdedir. albüm senfonik rock ve progressive rock tarzındaki iyi erken dönem çalışmalarından biridir. ayrıca konsept albüm konusunda da rock tarihindeki ilk çalışmadır.

72-78 arası dağılmış sonra tekrar toparlanmış ve 2003'e kadar albüm kaydetmeyi sürdürmüştür..
